How to Take Care of Your Cake
To enjoy your custom cake at its best, follow these care tips:
-
Carry with care – Always lift the cake box from the bottom, never the top or sides.
-
Keep level – Cakes must stay flat during transport, refrigeration, and display.
-
Cool transport – Use an air-conditioned vehicle, away from loose objects, and drive carefully to avoid sudden stops.
-
Fondant vs. Buttercream – Fondant cakes can stay at air-conditioned room temperature for up to 2 days, while buttercream cakes must be refrigerated.
-
Avoid heat & sunlight – If refrigerated, allow 1–2 hours for the cake to return to room temperature before serving.
-
Decorations – Remove toppers and decorations before slicing; some contain support sticks.
-
Leftovers – Store in airtight containers: up to 7 days in the fridge or up to 2 weeks in the freezer.
⚠ Important Reminder: Café Vida Desserts is not liable for any damage once cakes are released to third-party couriers such as Lalamove. Please ensure drivers handle cakes with care.
